Hiking Group - Jumbo's Cabin 2 Loops - August 28thDawn led a group on a relaxed hike today that took in two different loops originating at the Coal Creek Historic Park off Comox Lake Road. All enjoyed being on the trails on such a lovely day and it seemed perfect to end the outing with a packed-lunch debrief below Jumbo's Cabin.

Hiking Group - Mt Geoffrey - August 19, 2024August 19, 2024 Starting at the north end of the park allows us to hike the full length of the Mt Geoffrey Escarpment on Hornby Island. With 4 ferry rides to and from, a bus on Hornby and an unsettled weather forecast there were lots of ways our hike could go south (figuratively). For the first time with this route everything went smoothly and on schedule. We had a few brief showers but the real rain held off until we were driving home. |
