Welcome to the Walking - Regular Group!
This friendly walking group meets weekly on Tuesday mornings at 9 am. The start time is moved back to 9:30 am in the winter months. The walks last about 1 1/2 to 2 hours. After the walks, we chat over coffee in a nearby cafe.
None of the walks are over steep terrain. The walks are not overly strenuous, but good walking shoes are advisable.
Group members meet in the Home Depot parking lot at Tim Horton’s to arrange carpooling to the walk location. Members are asked to arrive 10 to 15 minutes early so everyone can leave by 9 am.
Another spot we may meet to organize carpooling for a walk is the Courtenay Airpark. On those days, we meet at the parking area on Mansfield Drive, near the children’s play area and around the corner from the Whistle Stop pub.
Group members are asked to consult the Club Calendar for walk details for specific dates.
Different people drive each week. We ask passengers to treat their drivers to a coffee. When the walks are out of town, passengers are asked to pay the driver a nominal fee to cover their costs.
This is a dog-free walk.
