Welcome to the Travel Group!
Are you interested in travelling but need to know where you want to go? Are you an avid traveller and willing to share your knowledge? Do you want to learn some great apps or a new destination to try but are not sure of the cost? Or solo travel, or cruising the wild seas? Or perhaps a group or person to travel with? If so, then this group may interest you!
Our members are diverse and well-travelled, and so are their travel styles. Since many of us travel abroad, we only meet three times a year, and the meetings last only about an hour. Afterwards, we go to a local restaurant to talk about our travels, share stories, and expand our knowledge of various new places we may want to go.
Our short meetings usually start with new, updated, interesting issues about travelling abroad, with safety and politics at the forefront. These topics cover elections, changes to visas, and security. Following that, we discuss travel insurance, apps to have overseas, wintering overseas, and single travel. Future topics may include housesitting, cruising, stopover programs, volunteering, or other areas of interest.
Members are often looking for a new place to go so we wrap the meetings up with destination travel. A this point , members share experiences including basic information about prices for accommodations, food, and differences based locations across Asia, Europe, or South America.
With just three one-hour meetings a year, our group offers a wealth of travel knowledge and experiences. And all this comes at an unbeatable price-your time and interest!
Group members are encouraged to contact the coordinator with presentation suggestions or meeting agenda topics.
