Battleship, Mackenzie Loop
With 28 centimetres reported at the Mt Washington base, a snowshoe trip around Battleship Lake and Lake Helen Mackenzie was planned. Fortunately with reports of recent conditions we were spared the challenge of negotiating areas of bare ground and exposed roots on snowshoes. Most of our route was covered with well packed snow that was ideal for our spikes.
