On a sunny Monday, the Hour Ramblers headed to Courtenay's Crown Isle Golf Resort for their walk.
Our route took the form of a loop from the Clubhouse past the Villas and Cottages and along the rough road encircling the golf course until reaching the far end of Royal Vista Way. We then followed Royal Vista and Crown Isle Drive until reaching the Clubhouse grounds once more. While on the rough road, we heard the sound of Stellar Jays calling loudly and looked up into the trees to see a Barred Owl relocate to another branch above the road. Bonus!
